![]() It seems to me anything over 20-25 you get more BS moves than should be in there.Īnything above 25 is not a good idea in my opinion. But cant he keep those moves with using lower numbers in the dribble tendencies so they are just used way less often while raising the basic crossover moves for pretty much everyone? LOL! Couldn't this get the same results with less AND 1 sh*t?ĭo you stagger moves for each individuals tendencies or do you have a scale you use? Certain numbers you won't go higher than. For example Jamal Crawford uses a variety of higher level moves and its realistic to him as an individual so I would hate to have to dumb him down and make him not play like himself. BUT the question is cant you get the same results without having to change the dribble animations. Intersting, i like the theory with all above this. Very interesting van, I will try these out tommrow. When I changed the tendencies that all went away. To often I see the CPU ball handler have a lane and then he does some stupid hesitation or move that makes no sense for the situation. This is supposed to be a NBA simulation and that should entail players making a decisive move and attacking the basket when and if they can. This isn't rucker park, or an AND 1 video, or NBA jams or live. Most guys will do a basic crossover move. Most NBA players that have a lane take it and dont stop and do a hesitation followed by a spin or behind the back move. It isn't realistic looking or feeling at all. Yes NBA players use different moves in a game, but in 2k they hesitate and to me it just looks bad. Every roster I have downloaded seems to have the same spread out dribble tendencies for when guys are attacking the basket. So, I started messing with these awhile back. Remember this is strictly for gameplay with a CPU as the opponent using these moves. Just my opinion but curious what you (the roster editing gurus) think.Ĭan someone else go test this in game with Derrick Rose being played by CPU and see what you get with him driving to the hole?! Or try Rondo or Nash too. I'd almnost go as far a 0 all out for everyone except their top 4 moves and have only the elite dribblers like a Jamal Crawford with the special moves. The gameplay seems so much more dead on with more spread out ratings in those areas and high crossovers. The thing is if you took 100 moves that a player did I would assume 80-85% of those moves would have a player using a basic crossover rather than a spin move, etc. So, my question is has anyone else noticed this? tried this? seen this? Is there a roster out there with dribble edits with tendencies like this I havn't seen? What is theories behind peoples dribble edits and tendencies. Ever since tweaking these areas those situations are gone. They shouldnt be hesitating when they have a man beat. Im getting better drives and more attacking out of players now. I have not seen that though with any of the rosters because of higher tendencies in those other areas IMO. Both Nash and Rose were actually making 1 basic crossover move and attacking me and putting pressure on the defense and getting to the hoop like you see in real life. I then went and tested them in game and the difference in gameplay was huge! It was night and day and looked 1000x more realistic IMO. I put each player at 85 in basic crossover, 25 in hesitation cross and all others spread out with 20-15-10-5-1 in order of what they do most. Before I changed their tendencies they were not attacking like they should be coming off pick n rolls or even in broken down freelance mode or in Iso's. So I tested this with Derrick Rose and Steve Nash. This isn't rucker park, or an AND 1 video, or NBA jams or live for that matter. Most guys will do a basic crossover move followed by a simple drive. Every roster I have downloaded seems to have the same spread out dribble tendencies with some tendencies being too high IMO, for when guys are attacking the basket.
